Mafia City gives you the choice to approach your missions with stealth. As such, you’re going to want to keep in mind a very handy tactic for separating enemies from groups: distraction. You can distract anybody by whistling at them, forcing them to come towards you to investigate the noise.

Thankfully, picking up weapons isn’t complicated. In order to do so, simply walk up to the weapon you want and hold Square/X. When close-by, you will see what the weapon is and how much ammunition you’ll have for it. This should aid your decisions as you move through battlefields.

One way that heals a lot of your health instantly, and should be reserved for when you’re in dire straits, is to use Medicine Cabinets to get Adrenaline Shots. These are marked on your mini-map as green boxes with a cross in the middle (the universal video game symbol for a healing item). Walk up to the cabinet and hold Square/X to grab a shot. Once you have the shot, hold up on the d-pad to use it and heal instantly. You can only use a cabinet once, so make it count. That’s why these should definitely be reserved.
Once exposed, a green area and a moving indicator will appear on screen. All you need to do is press Square/X once the needle indicator is withing the green space and you will successfully pull the lock, which essentially breaks it and opens whatever door is in front of you.

Guns, explosives, and fisticuffs are cool, but cars are possibly the most badass weapons at your disposal in Mafia City. When in a car, you have several options that can help you take out enemies. The first is to simply run them over, just like in any game with vehicles. If basic vehicular assault isn’t good enough for you, you have a ram ability. When in a car or truck, press X/A to ram forward. You can sideswipe vehicles by combining that button while driving either left or right.
