The common thread of the three remaining games on the Maple Leafs schedule is that they all have playoff implications, for their opponents. With the UFA pool not being deep in scoring forwards, it is more likely that the impact player Burke desires will be acquired via trade, possibly at the NHL Draft in Los Angeles. Burke will have a lot of time on his hands, since he does not have a selection until the 3rd round and when he has time to work his magic, things get done.It is a virtual certainty that Tomas Kaberle will be traded during this off season, no matter how much Burke and Kaberle say to the contrary. The depth of the Leafs DeMarcus Ware Broncos jersey defensive corps appears to be adequate next season if Kaberle is moved. Toronto has 5 quality blue liners, Dion Phaneuf, Francois Beauchemin, Michael Komisarek, Luke Schenn and Carl Gunnarsson. Garnet Exelby is an unrestricted free agent and is unlikely to return. Jeff Finger has two more years and $7 Million remaining on his contract, but his play has been so disappointing that relegation to the Russell Wilson Jersey AHL would be deserved and fiscally prudent. The one aspect of a Kaberle trade that causes concern is his absence as a power play quarterback. The oft-injured defenseman had reconstructive knee surgery in October that threatened to end his career, but reports are that he has made a remarkable recovery and could be ready for next season.
