Whenever I buy on taobao agent, I always make sure to add costume jewelry to my order. For me, it always seems like a waste to skip it all together when there are so many lovely items I could get just for a few extra dollars. Not only that, but because the majority of these items tend to be lightweight, it's adds very little to the shipping weight.

When purchasing costume jewelry from Taobao shops, it's a good idea to find a shop that sells multiple items you would like to buy. The reason for this is to save on domestic shipping to your Taobao agent, which generally costs about $2.

Because of this, I tend to look at shops that sell a multitude of items. Here are some shops thats you may want to take a look at when you decide to buy on Taobao.

Low-Cost Jewelry Network

This Taobao shop has pages upon pages of necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets with the vast majority costing less than a dollar. And for the more simple pieces that don't have lots of layers, the prices tend to be in the 25￠ range. With all the variety in styles this shop caters to, from vintage to cute, there's bound to be at least a few items that catch your attention.

The items are about the same quality as those found in stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe. The only thing I would not purchase from this shop are the metal hairbands. The decorations on those tend to fall off during shipping. Everything else though turns out fine and are very similar to the photos.

Lazyzai

This Taobao shop focuses primarily on pocket watch necklaces, though they do offer other items such as rings, hairbands, and hairpins. I've personally ordered a few pocket watch necklaces from this site and was happy overall. The ones I did buy were the battery operated ones, and those stopped ticking after about a year. I don't regret buying them though because they're quite cute on their own and so I still wear them. The site does sell about three different manual watches that need winding and therefore would work much longer than the rest, but its more expensive.

What's interesting about this shop is they have several necklaces that don't look like they have a clock at all. For instance, do you see that photo of a caged bird necklace? If you turn it to its bottom, it actually tells you the time.

There are a few resellers of these watches on Amazon who charge close to $30 or more even though it could be bought for around $2 on Taobao. They also have a few vintage style hairpins and rings that sell for a quarter.
