ST. LOUIS - SCP Worldwide and St. Louis Blues Chairman Dave Checketts announced Tuesday that the club has signed John Davidson Zac Stacy Authentic Jersey , President of Hockey Operations, to a multi-year contract extension.

As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"John was our first hire as an ownership group," said Checketts. "We believed then and still believe now in his ability to rekindle the passion of the Blues in St. Louis. Several media outlets have recently recognized Dave Checketts' role in turning Real Salt Lake into one of Major League Soccer's biggest success stories.

Eric Wynalda, a former U.S. National Team soccer player and current studio analyst for Fox Soccer Channel, spoke with the Deseret News recently.

"The way they play and the way they've been put together by Dave Checketts, hopefully more clubs in Major League Soccer will take that model and say that's how you build a successful team that's going to have the opportunity to win trophies like this," Wynalda said. "There's no way anyone outside of David Checketts would have given them a chance."

Real Salt Lake won the MLS championship last season.
