Nike Group announces that new headquarters will be built in Shanghai, China. The construction of a new set of Nike's Greater China headquarters is built for Nike's employees. With an area of approximately 600,000 square feet (about 54,575 square meters), the Greater China headquarters will be located in the Yangpu District of Shanghai. U.S. Tishman Real Estate company develop this multi-purpose project and named it with "Shangpu-the world guide". The Nike Company will carry out a new long-term strategy for its growth. It can raise its trading business. Nike Company has gained its fame in Tianjin and Chengdu area before this project. It's not only a great surprise but also a strategic investment. The new headquarters can gather-together all its employees in Shanghai and its group of brands. At the same time, the company's office facilities and operation capacity could be upgraded and extended. In 2011 June, the annual revenue of Nike Company in the Greater China is over $2,000,000,000 for the first time. And the regional revenue growth rate is 35%, reported in the annual fiscal report in December 20th, 2012. At the very beginning of his construction, its value and importance have show its meaning. Shanghai's marketing value and the business advantages have shown its potential for the local residences. Tishman Company and Nike Company will establish a cooperation relationship for a long-term growth strategy. Tishman is a world-class real estate company, combined with real estate owners,Air Jordans Retro Mens,operators and investment management companies. A lease agreement on this project has been signed between Nike and U.S. Tishman Company. Tishman plans to build Nike Greater China headquarters in an area of more than 587,227 square feet (54,575 square meters). A set of buildings include about three office building and a five layer of multi-purpose conference centers will show its appearance after the construction.
Some other buildings like a football field, a standard indoor basketball court and the first-class fitness facilities will also be built accompany with the commercial office building. A full set of catering facilities and a separate conference center used for holding large scale events and product launches will be installed in the new headquarters. Nike Company plans to move into its new headquarters in the first quarter in 2014 . The building is located between Hongqiao airport and Pudong airport, the two largest airport in Shanghai.
The location is quite convenient. With the main traffic hub and subway stations and 32 bus lines around the headquarters, it connects the Shanghai metropolitan area. The location is originally the airport facilities, next to Shanghai's unique Ecological Conservation Park. The design depends on the United States' Green Building Council gold standard with the international top architects and environmental consultants. Tishman Real Estate Company has started the "Shangpu-the world guide" project in June, 2011. The first sale phase of residential area will start in October, 2012. The construction, covered with a total area of 9,700,000 square feet, is a "green community" with a complete service facilities. The whole scale of the headquarter includes first class office parks, first class commercial office buildings, SOHO living and working areas, hotels, hotel residences, retail shops and places of cultural events.
