So if he has Lamar or Vick or Cunningham I'll set alternative D to conservative (focus on the QB). Most people who operate read option have one of these QB's. If rather his RB is a larger threat, I set alternative defense to competitive (concentrate on the handoff). And I discover that Nickel 2-4-5 or Nickel 2-4-5 twice A gap are the best configurations to prevent it. Pick a play which has both or one of those linebackers in zones. Tampa two functions. Or cover 1 man and audible the other MLB to a zone that is yellow.

Other folks may have a better way, but I have found this is the best method to stop a good deal of runs out of shotgun, or the zone read. Never suppose run. This feature is broken it's annoying.
