Hello, I've a question regarding training combat and RuneScape gold since efficacy has never really been my thing I had been hoping someone else here could give me advice. I'm thinking about getting members soon and want to eventually max out my combat (I have had this account for several years, I have no clue why I haven't done this yet...). Can it be general better to max out combat whilst obtaining 99 slayer or can it be better simply to power-train the abilities at bandits or lions?

I understand it is more rewarding to use slayer but also appears to require a much longer time that's time that may be employed on other money-making methods. Also, if you wouldn't mind, what is the best set-up (preferable under 20M) for the method you're suggesting. In the end, is the training just up to taste? You don't require the very best stuff to train, the advantages are just couple of%, and also you do not have to train through Slayer, either.

The recommendation to train Slayer comes from high level players looking back and forth saying,"meh, wish I coached Slayer, today I am 138 and also have 10 levels to go...". The skill does offer two main advantages and that is: You always kill something different. You can cancel a task if you don't like killing something. The disadvantages is that eventually you get tired of it too, and you may just block 5 critters. Also, some monsters are not great for training melee. I would recommend training through Slayer, anyhow, but you've read the truth, so up to you.

As for recommended equipment, a Black Mask or even a Slayer helm is an absolute must. Beside that, you really only need a whip (or even a chaotic weapon out of Dungeoneerin). The rest is left up to you. For starters, I would get Torag's plate and legs, which supply the best protection-value ratio in the match (s'far as I understand ), black dragonhide for your magic-based assignments, and start working on the Recipe for cheap OSRS gold Disaster quest, which offers the best stat-boosting gloves at the sport. I would also receive a ring of riches (can't hurt), an amulet of glory and dragon boots - the latter if you've spare change, it's only a very small Strength bonus. Overall, the whole thing should cost you 2.5-3m.
