It is around 2:00 AM Sunday morning and so far I have enjoyed my weekend. I watched Game 5 and the epic showdown between the Wings and Pens. It has been an exciting series to watch and as I came home tonight, I read Eklund's blog about not having the BIG SCREEN in Pittsburgh. This doesn't surprise me about NBC.Many of you have read about my gripes about NBC all season long. There maybe a good contractual reason behind closed doors but to the average hockey fan like myself, this doesn't make sense. If NBC is so worried about ratings, then ask each fan attending to see the game on the BIG SCREEN to leave all of their TV sets on with NBC's coverage before leaving their house.Okay, I'll stop with the nonsense solutions.My point is: this whole situation with the BIG SCREEN is SILLY. I applaud Eklund's efforts to change some minds and I hope that peacefully protesting may sway the minds of the NBC brass to allow this public gathering.
